The top 5 reasons teachers choose to work abroad
We know that many teachers opt to work internationally for many varied reasons, yet perhaps surprisingly, money wasn’t the primary motivator. But what really motivates people to teach abroad? Take a look at the top five reasons international teachers give below:
What we offer
Your journey with The International Teaching Partnership starts by getting in touch, you can call us, register using the form below or on the ITP website or apply to one of our jobs online. Once we have your details we’ll be in touch to arrange a consultative call about you, your situation and what exactly it is you’re looking for. We will give you advice and guidance on the different types of schools and locations that are available to you and answer any initial questions that you may have.
Your consultant will then use their expert skills and knowledge of the international teaching market to match you to the perfect school. We will then be back in touch to talk through the vacancies that are available and give you a job description for each so you can make an informed decision about which jobs are the best fit for you.
The next step is the interview. The interview is usually carried out by video call, however, occasionally you may get the chance to interview face to face as some head teachers schedule a visit to the UK in order to meet our candidates. Whatever the type of interview your consultant will give you the interview tips and resources needed in order for you to give the best account of yourself.
Providing the interview goes well we will be there to help you understand your offer and prepare you for the process of onboarding with your new employer. Whilst schools will generally manage this process The International Teaching Partnership will be here to help and guide you on matters such as visa applications, police checks and relocating overseas.
The last part is starting your new adventure and remember……“The World is Your Classroom”
