At The Classroom Partnership, we are committed to safeguarding at all levels.
Our safeguarding and CPD director is an ex-head teacher who undertakes designated safeguarding lead refresher training at 2-yearly intervals. We ensure we give our candidates the most relevant and up to date information and training available.
Proof that these checks have been undertaken are always provided prior to the start of a candidate’s assignment in a school.
Our industry-pioneering safeguarding, assessment and selection procedures are shaped around the needs of our schools, their pupils and our candidates, and include:
- NCTL (GTC) confirmation
- QTS/QTLS check
- Prohibition order check
- Fully enhanced DBS disclosure and barred list check
- DBS update service check every six months
- New DBS will be applied if it has been over 12 months since date of issue
- Childcare disqualification declaration
- Minimum two references covering two years
- 10 years of documented work history
- All gaps in classroom working history checked and verified
- Overseas police check (if applicable)
- Proof of ID and right to work in the UK
- Evidence of qualifications and training
- Face-to-face interview.
As ex-teachers ourselves, we recognise that a career in supply isn’t always everything you might have expected. At The Classroom Partnership, we want you to know that we’ll do everything we can to meet your expectations and make life as easy as possible for you.

The Classroom Partnership supports all types of schools across the UK daily with requests for short-term planned, unplanned or training cover.
These assignments usually last one or two days initially but can extend if it suits both parties and our schools often come to us to request the same teacher back when the need arises.
Long term assignments
If you prefer to immerse yourself in the culture of a single school but don’t want a permanent post then a long-term Assignment is the role for you.
These assignments provide cover for unfilled permanent vacancies, long-term absences or maternity leave and can last from a few weeks to a whole academic year.

We provide additional tuition support to schools across the UK from residential weekend support and exam invigilator jobs to booster supply days or one-to-one coaching.
